WHAT IS "CHI" ENERGY AND HOW IT HELPS IN DEVELOPING TABLE TENNIS

first, let us understand the CHI energy
chi energy is nothing but the movement of breathing or air within the body in a rhythmic manner through which our chakras are triggered and activated

Now what you can do to activate your energy will be covered in a yet another post

How CHI energy helps in developing table tennis is as follows

  • whether you are looking to improve your timing, angle, actions, strategy, or mindset everywhere chi energy plays a major role.

  • A person has to understand that a player with a good breathing technique automatically understands the game in a much better way than a person who is not up to the mark in his breathing skills.
  • secondly, if there are 2 people with a good breathing technique then the person who is winning has a better mindset for playing the game.

I will now cover one by one concept how it works

  1. Timing -  If you have developed your chi energy then automatically the body tries to play the short in a much more comfortable manner which is only achieved by proper timing. However the balls comes in the front of you, the body tries to sense the proper timing of the ball. More important even before the timing is the coordination of the body with the Brain and the eyes
  2.  Coordination - The timing of the ball is proper due to the coordination of the body which is only achieved by developing the chi energy. As its the breathing pattern and the rhythm of air within the body which makes our body light and the whole body part is connected with the brain. Thus eventually helping our brain to react on time.
  3.  The angle of the racket  - At the initial stage of the game, many players fail to understand to watch the ball. watching the ball doesn't mean to keep staring at the ball it means understanding the rotation of the ball which should be visible through your eyes. In the opening of our eyes and our sight, the chi energy plays a major role. Once the eyesight is good enough automatically our body actions try to adjust with the rotation of the ball thus improving the angle of the racket
  4. Action  - Playing in rhythm is one of the most important skills one should develop and look for. If a player plays in a good rhythm then he will automatically have good actions and his actions will be clean and sharp. Playing in rhythm is only possible when your breathing is in rhythm. Thus, here too you can see the impact of chi energy playing a major role.
  5. skills - you may be thinking about how it's related to the skills so once the chi or the breathing is developed you will automatically play table tennis in a rhythm, playing in rhythm develops the sense of reading the balls and even the actions get smooth and the body functions properly which result in developing your skillset every day. once you have a good breathing technique during the play you will be a much more skilled table tennis player.
  6. Reading the ball - In developing the breathing technique (CHI) the second last chakra the third eye is used to make a quick decision but when that chakra is developed the eyes are too good to capture a ball and its rotation. believe me, if you have reached such a state of breathing in your game, table tennis will be much easier for you.
  7. Footwork - The coordination developed by breathing helps our body to be connected with our brain, thus even the legs get connected with our brain, and more important you will be very light from your feet. One more important point is that you won't get tired fast when your breathing skills are developed. The movement of the leg and the actions of the hand all get in sync with your breathing.
  8. Placement - The player can play the strokes as he wants due to good control not over the game but over the breath understand this point very clearly if you have control over your breathing then only you can have control over your game. The dimensions of the table are very much understood by the player increasing its placement skills.
  9. Understanding the blades and rubbers - A player with a good breathing technique feels the ball much more through their hands and which gets triggered in the mind. It increases the sense of how the blade and the rubber react. Thus when he changes the blades and the rubber he can feel the change. Even when there are any changes in the opponent's blades and rubbers he can understand it very well making him very comfortable playing the matches.

Importance of Warm up in Table Tennis

Certainly! Warm-up is a crucial component of any physical activity, including table tennis. Here are several reasons why warming up is important before playing table tennis: Increased Blood Flow: Warming up increases blood flow to the muscles, delivering oxygen and nutrients. This helps prepare the muscles for the demands of table tennis, reducing the risk of injuries. Improved Muscle Elasticity: A proper warm-up enhances muscle flexibility and elasticity. This is essential for the quick and dynamic movements involved in table tennis, such as rapid changes in direction and fast swings Joint Lubrication: Warming up stimulates the production of synovial fluid, which lubricates the joints. This helps to reduce friction between joint surfaces, making movements smoother and decreasing the chances of joint injuries. Enhanced Reaction Time: A warm-up increases nerve conduction speed and improves the responsiveness of muscles. This is crucial in table tennis, where quick reflexes and rap...
